Have you ever noticed just how many photos you take and forget about? It seems that with digital photography, whether it is your phone or a regular camera, we are now storing hundreds, maybe thousands, of photos that we will never ever see again after they’ve been taken. I, for one, have several files of photographs on my computer that I never look at – despite the fact that they contain some special memories for me. Whether it is photographs of family, trips I’ve taken but long forgot, or precious and candid moments of our fur baby (aka our cat Napoleon), it all seems like a distant memory somehow.
For this reason, I am so glad that there is a movement among young creatives to bring back the art of photo display. More than just your typical gallery wall of framed photos, their ideas come from a desire to elevate the craft of displaying photos in ways that are fresh and creative.
Here are my top 10 picks that just may inspire you to ‘dust off’ those long-forgotten photos:
1. Instagram Polaroid Block Gallery Wall
4. DIY Geometric Photo Display
6. Rustic Branch Photo Wall Hanging
8. Display in Vintage Bottles and Glass Jars
I hope these ideas help inspire you to ‘dust off’ those old photos and give them a place of honour 🙂
