COZY MODERN FALL HOME TOUR

Fall is one of my favourite times of year to decorate our home, inside and out (you can catch my Fall Porch & Steps Tour Here). It’s when I can begin adding more layers and texture without trying too hard.

Just pull out a few pillows and throw blankets, and maybe a few outdoor elements and I’m happy to nest! While I’m always sorry to say good-bye to summer – sniff! – I do love the warmth and coziness that the fall season brings. And my indoor style always reflects this transition. It’s soft, moody, full of texture and always includes a bit of the outdoors.

This year, I would describe my fall home style as both cozy and modern. That’s because I consciously decided to decorate without adding any traditional yellows or rust tones.

Instead, I opted to use natural, organic elements such as wood and faux leather, preserved eucalyptus and pampas grass, to convey the season indoors.

The decision to stay ‘neutral’ with my decor palette is in keeping with my love of neutrals in general and made decorating this fall a breeze. Here in our dining room and kitchen, I just added some natural elements that blended seamlessly into these spaces.

Blending my seasonal decor with the rest of my home was so, so easy – including my ensuite bathroom (below) and guest bathroom, too.

I love the look of this DIY Pampas Grass Wreath. It was simple to make and can easily be duplicated – just check out my step-by-step tutorial.

I also added some bunny tails to a couple of vignettes and kept it simple.

Our guest bathroom was minimally decorated with a few eucalyptus accessories scattered throughout.

And, finally, here is a single stem eucalyptus wreath just above our hand towel. This was an easy DIY wreath that I shared here on the blog.

I hope you enjoyed today’s cozy modern fall home tour. Hopefully, this has got you inspired to experiment with your seasonal decor at home.

Happy decorating 🙂
