Today’s blog is a double-header – of sorts – as I show you my Home Office & Craft Room Organization AND share the process on YouTube!

CRAFT ROOM ORGANIZATION & YOUTUBE TOUR
Yep, it’s my first YouTube video in over a year!
Last year was such a difficult year for all of us. Priorities were shifted. And for me, that meant having to drop YouTube off my rotation.
But now I’m back with a new video and another one on the way – yay!
But before you watch today’s video, take a peek at all the changes I’ve made to my craft room – at least since the last tour on Facebook Live which also included some yarn storage tips.
(The FULL SOURCE LIST from today’s blog can be found at the BOTTOM OF THIS POST).
My craft space is “L-shaped” with the longest view taken up by my IKEA Kallax storage shelves.
The upper two rows of white storage bins are IKEA containers, perfectly sized to fit the Kallax storage system.
I’ve had them for a year and a half now and couldn’t be happier with them, so I decided to add more.
But with no home delivery in my area and wanting to minimize my contact with the outside world – I found similar storage boxes on Amazon (see the full source list at the bottom of this post) that fit my Kallax shelves AND were less expensive.
Sandwiched between the two Kallax storage shelving systems is my home office.
The desk and add-on shelving is another Kallax design that kept things tidy. And once I added the plastic woven bins and more letter trays, my desk space felt so much more organized!
Making your way into the far corner (on the right) – and I’m SO EXCITED about this – I’ve installed wall-mounted hangers to store all my fibre art samples and finished pieces.
As you swing around to the end (where the L takes a sharp turn), I’ve got nearly all my yarn stored in IKEA Billy Bookcases – as before – but with ONE CRUCIAL difference.
These under-shelf storage baskets are a great way to maximize storage on each shelf while keeping things a bit tidier.
It’s all of these little details that have made a big difference in my craft room!
ORGANIZE & CLEAN MY Craft Room with me on YouTube!
Now, let me take you on the journey to update my craft room/home office and a more indepth, personal tour of my space!
I hope you drew some inspiration from today’s craft room organization post and video!
Happy crafting 🙂

March 11, 2021 at 8:23 amHi. You asked for a tip about how to keep things clean while crafting action is happening. I try to put something away as soon as I am finished with it. Of course, I will need to pick it up again, and it’s a challenge to do, but if I discipline myself to do this, it usually works out well. Usually…

March 24, 2021 at 2:09 pmHi Ken! This is probably the best solution – I agree. Sometimes, it’s the most practical way to go about it, and sometimes, it feels like too much of a hassle. But, I like this tip! I’ll need to implement it more often 🙂

September 28, 2021 at 1:00 amWhat are the plastic drawer towers under the desk? I don’t see a link to them. Thank you.

June 12, 2022 at 2:37 pmI’ve stacked several 3-drawer organizers underneath. These are the Sterilite ones here: https://amzn.to/3xIYdGN (just be careful to look for the best price on amazon as it varies widely!). You can also find them at Staples.
