As I continue to add touches of spring throughout my home, I thought I’d share what I’ve been up to in our dining area. You would have already gotten a sneak peak in 3 Quick Spring Decor Ideas To Freshen Up Your Home. But today, I thought I’d give you the full mini tour of our simple dining room spring vignettes to welcome the season.
As some of you may have noticed, I’ve recently been gravitating towards simple greenery in my decorating choices. Each season there’s always that one colour that captures my attention – in this case, it’s green.
I picked up a number of faux greenery sprigs and bunches at Michaels, intending to use them both for styling vignettes and home crafts, like this Easy 5-Minute Faux Succulent Arrangement. I still have loads in the basement (much to my husband’s amusement). For these simple dining room spring vignettes, I chose only 4 pieces to decorate with.
With the exception of the faux planter on the right side of the dining room table, all the rest are greenery that I’ve inserted into each container used for display.
If you take a closer look, you’ll see that I’ve used candle holders, large and small, as the vessels holding these sprigs of greenery. Using non-traditional items to display flowers and greenery is a favourite styling tool of mine. I love to see the unexpected in home decor.
(If you’d like to free your flowers from traditional vases, take a look at these 5 Fresh & Creative Ways To Integrate Flowers In Your Home).
I also added a few pieces of greenery to the buffet table.
I didn’t use many green pieces. But, sometimes, a little goes a long way. And in this case, it was an easy, no-fuss way to welcome spring into our dining room.
I hope you enjoyed this mini tour of our simple dining room spring vignettes. It was fun to find ways to add bits of greenery into my existing decor and see the space reflect the season.
Happy decorating 🙂
