Today, I’m excited to be joining some of my blog pals in a Fall DIY & Decor Collaboration hosted by the talented and lovely Katrin from KreativK. (Don’t forget to scroll down to the bottom of this post to see all of the other creative ideas for fall). For my part, I’m sharing this pretty-in-pink fall pumpkin tabletop centerpiece that anyone can make.
Fall Decorating With A Splash of Pretty
When it comes to decorating for autumn, I love simple touches that give a seasonal nod without overpowering a space.
(To see what I mean, check out my Fresh & Cozy Fall Living Room tour from a previous post).
Even so, I love to add something a little extra special in a few areas of the home where I can add a little more fun and flair.
One of those areas is our dining room table. This is the spot where I like to add a stronger hit of seasonal style, like last year’s Natural & Neutral Fall Tablescape where I had a tone-on-tone mix of antlers, pinecones and, of course, pumpkins!
For this year, I wanted to do something similar, but a bit more contained and I think I achieve that with this pretty, layered fall pumpkin tabletop centerpiece. It’s the perfect hit of style that our dining room table needed.
If you’d like to try your hand at something similar, check out how I made it below. It’s so darn simple!

MATERIALS for this pretty fall pumpkin tabletop centerpiece
- Basket or container (like this one, this one or this one). I purchased mine at Michaels.
- Bag of Moss (like this one).
- Silvery green foliage, like lamb’s ear (such as these ones or these ones)
- Your choice of pink and white florals (like these ones or these ones).
- And, of course, a variety of faux pumpkins. I already had all these pumpkins on hand. They were a combination of grocery store pumpkins and Michaels pumpkins (you can purchase them at Michaels in mesh bags for a good price and then spray paint them, as I did).
Putting It All Together – The Steps
Step 1: Layer The Base
If your container is a basket like mine you’ll want to add a piece of cloth along the bottom to ensure that anything added on top will not fall through later on.Then fill the container with moss. Most of the moss will clump together, with very little coming through the gaps along the sides.
Step 2: Add Your Pumpkins
Next, add in your pumpkins, beginning with the largest first.
Then, add in the smaller ones to fill out the top.
Step 3: ‘Green’ The Edges
Now it’s time to ‘green’ the edges of your centerpiece. I chose these lovely silvery green (and faux) lamb’s ears. I simply inserted them directly into the moss.
Step 4: Add Your Flowers
Next, I began inserting the faux flowers into the moss, starting with the long and ‘feathery’ blush pink pieces.
Followed by these pretty, delicate white florals.
And then I finished this centerpiece by inserting these pretty pink stunners for added impact.
And, voila! You’ve got a pretty fall pumpkin tabletop centerpiece that you can add to any surface in your home.
I hope you found some inspiration in this pretty fall pumpkin tabletop centerpiece. It did not take long to put it all together. And the final results are really very pretty.
