I must admit, I don’t do a lot of crafting over the Christmas season. But every year, I like to add one or two crafted pieces to my holiday collection. This year, in keeping with a muted palette of black, white and neutrals, I decided to make these super cute Christmas Favour Bag DIY Ornaments. They were a cinch to whip up! Use them as favour bags to hand out or to add to a holiday table setting or simply hang them on your tree. The possibilities are endless 🙂
Ready to give these a try? It only takes a few minutes to make!

Christmas Favour Bag DIY Ornaments – STEPS
STEP 1: Cut Tags
Taking your craft paper and scissors, cut some tags. I did my free hand, but you can measure, if you’d prefer.
STEP 2: Write Out Christmas Words
Using a Sharpie, write a Christmas word on each tag. You can also write out the name of each of your guests who’ll be receiving a little favour bag when they visit 🙂
STEP 3: Fill Each Bag
Fill each bag with treats or, if using as ornaments for the tree, stuff each one with tissue paper.
STEP 4: Add Greenery
Add your greenery clippings part way through the top end of each bag.
STEP 5: Glue On Pinecone
Add a dollop of hot glue to the back of a small pinecone and press against the greenery for a few seconds, until the glue is dry.
STEP 6: Glue on Tag
Add a dollop of glue to the flat end of the tag and add to the favour bag, making sure to add it just below the draw string portion of the bag.
STEP 7: Cinch & Hang!
Pull on the draw string to tighten along the top, tie, and get ready to hang or hand out to your friends and family 🙂
I decided to hang this trio up on our tree and I absolutely love how they blend in!
Or light up that tree and let the glow surround them.
If you decide to hand your favour bag diy ornaments, then use any common kitchen clip, as I did here.
I’m thrilled with how these little guys turned out. They were so easy to make that I think I’ll be making some more for friends and family over the holidays 🙂
Happy Christmas crafting 🙂
