Simple White Pinecone Decor Ideas

These past few weeks I’ve been busy incorporating pinecones throughout my home.  Besides their natural beauty, they are quite possibly the easiest way to introduce autumn into the home with the least amount of expense.  And since I have LOADS of pinecones, I thought I would welcome fall this year with these simple white pinecone decor ideas that I’m happy to share with all of you today 🙂

Welcome fall this season with these simple white pinecone decor ideas. It's Scandi-boho decorating on a fresh, farmhouse budget!

Why ‘white,’ you may ask?

Although white can sometimes feel cold, in my home it actually brightens and lightens up our surroundings rather beautifully. I have a lot of brown and wood tones in my furniture and flooring (which I love), but without something to contrast with, all those browns could appear a bit heavy and dark. And while dark may work beautifully in many homes, admittedly, I adore contrasts in general – whether it be in colour or style.  And white, as well as tone-on-tone whites and creams, really provide that hit of interest I so crave.

In each of the following vignettes, the pinecones have been spray painted a variety of white and cream tones. The differences are subtle, but vary depending on how creamy or white I wanted them to appear. In each case, I’ll provide a link to the product I used so you can explore a little further.

In A Wire Basket

One of my favourite ways to display pinecones is in a grouping like this one in this wire basket. I love how this modern geometric basket contrasts beautifully with the natural texture of the pinecones.

Incorporated Into A Tablescape

Although the white pumpkins take center stage in this tablescape, both the pinecones and antlers add texture and variety.

Thank you, Mary! It’s probably been one of the easiest (and least expensive) seasons to decorate our home. For some reason, once the pinecones were spray painted, the rest of these vignettes came together effortlessly 🙂

I am seriously in love with your pine cones. Most of my home colors are coastal so white pine cones are perfect. I’ve done a bunch of white pumpkins and now I have to do pine cones. Telling you up front,no disrespect, I am so stealing this!

I have tons of pine cones, every time we go for a walk we find some. I love the spray paint idea, as you know, I love whites as well. And easy little touches of Fall with these cuties are the best! The wreath is so stunning, I need to make one!

Using spray paint was a nice way to freshen things up and blended well with all the creams and whites in my home decor. The wreath itself has loose leaves inserted between the pinecones and can be easily removed and replaced by season-specific elements. It was also very easy to make, Katrin. Just pop on over to the tutorial to see how to make it 🙂 Take care!

You’ve created such beautiful vignettes with our white painted pinecones, Jelica! I am swooning over your fabulous color block gallery wall, gorgeous! Your wreath is so pretty too, especially with the white ribbon. I could see the ribbon switched out with plaid, red, or metallics for the holidays – want one. I am not a farmhouse style person but I loved, loved all your ideas with white pinecones! I use farmhouse style a little only in my kitchen. I do not know how this comes out but it happens all the time!
