Life Lately + Sweet Inspiration Link Party #68

It’s Friday and that means it’s time for another Sweet Inspiration Link Party – welcome!

Sweet Inspiration Link Party #67 | craft, decor, DIY, recipes

Hope you’ve had a great week. Mine’s felt a bit hectic, though that may be because I’m quickly falling behind on my yard work.

weed

Yikes! I think that very tall, frightening looking weed on the edge of our driveway says it all! Hubby’s been out of town on business for a while and I’ve been “looking after” the lawn 😉

Ah well, I’m finally working my way around to doing some desperately-needed weeding today. And, afterwards, I’ll be treating myself with an ice cold specialty coffee – it may be my only incentive to get the job done!

But enough of me and my scary weeds!

It’s Sweet Inspiration time! Time to party and have some fun!

But first…

THE PARTY DETAILS

The party starts on Fridays 11am EST/ 4pm GMT and runs until Tuesday 11am EST/4pm GMT.  By joining us every week you will be able to grow your blog and gather inspiration from so many others who link up to the party. And now onto our favourites from last week’s Sweet Inspiration Party.

MY FAVOURITE

Antique Wash Stand Dry Brushed White

Antique Wash Stand Makeover

Marie at The Interior Frugalista lovingly restores and repurposes this antique wash stand into a GORGEOUS serving station. Dry brushing, stenciling (and a sweet detail INSIDE) makes this an extra special DIY transformation.

MARY’S FAVOURITE

A DIY Unfinished Natural Wood Dresser

DIY Unfinished Natural Wood Dresser

Mary says:  When you see the before of this gorgeous unfinished dresser by Jen of Noting Grace you will understand why I picked it as my feature. The transformation couldn’t have been more stark!

MICHELLE’S FAVOURITE

DIY Decorative Orbs from Dollar Store Toys

Decorative Orbs

Michelle says:  I just love these decorative orbs that Mimi over at Home With Mimi made. You’ll never guess what they were before she waved her magic wand.

FLORENCE’S FAVOURITE

Passport to Fun

passport to fun - date night

Florence says:  If you haven’t seen Lisa’s approach yet to Date Night, you’re missing a “Passport to Fun,” what Lisa calls her series. She and her husband and pre-school daughter “travel” to a different country by dressing the part, eating the food, listening to the music, and playing some fun activities related to that country. It sure sounds like fun to me!

CHRISTINA’S FAVOURITE

Pear & Ginger Upside Down Cake

pear and ginger upside down cake

Christina says:  Ginger and pears are two of my favorite ingredients for a cake and this cake from Daphne of Ivy, Phyllis and Me combines both of them. The upside down look gives this cake a very interesting appearance.
