I am not a romantic. There. I said it. A-a-a-a! But I do love ‘love’ and I do love to decorate (two of the best pairings for the home style enthusiast 🙂 ). So when Katrin from KreativK invited me, along with some of my other blogging pals, to create and share some of our Valentine’s Vignettes, I was up to the challenge. In today’s post, I’m sharing the results, which is this easy-peasy Vintage Fresh Valentine Vignette.
(And don’t forget to check out the links to all the other beautiful Valentine’s Vignettes at the bottom of this post).
Hubby and I don’t often go out and celebrate Valentine’s Day, but we do like staying in on such occasions and catching a good flick on Netflix. That’s why I decided to create a vintage-inspired vignette around this pair of armchairs where we can sit down and watch our favourite shows.
Besides the mid-century inspired chairs, what makes this seating feel especially vintage are these sweet little ‘love birds’ pillows.
But the real centrepiece here is the collection of vintage-inspired decor on our side table.
Although pink is not part of my traditional colour scheme, I do love adding pink touches in the Spring. And these blush pink and yellow flowers really set off this vignette beautifully.
I also think these ‘be mine’ paper napkins add the sweetest touch to this vintage fresh Valentine vignette.
And what’s a night in on Valentine’s Day without a candle to set the mood and some Belgian chocolates to sweeten the decor (pun intended 😉 ).
I hope you enjoyed this ‘tour’ of our simple and vintage fresh Valentine vignette. It’s the perfect setting for a cozy night in, especially for a couple of old love birds like us 😉
Happy Nesting 🙂

February 1, 2018 at 5:56 amIt’s not part of my decor, to be sure, but it’s nice to add it in every so often. It’s the blush pinks and soft blushes that easily integrate into any decor, I think 🙂
