A Simple & Vintage Fresh Valentine Vignette (& Blog Hop!)

I am not a romantic. There. I said it. A-a-a-a! But I do love ‘love’ and I do love to decorate (two of the best pairings for the home style enthusiast 🙂 ). So when Katrin from KreativK invited me, along with some of my other blogging pals, to create and share some of our Valentine’s Vignettes, I was up to the challenge.  In today’s post, I’m sharing the results, which is this easy-peasy Vintage Fresh Valentine Vignette.

(And don’t forget to check out the links to all the other beautiful Valentine’s Vignettes at the bottom of this post).

Get some simple, fresh Valentine's Day decorating ideas with this vintage-inspired floral vignette.

Hubby and I don’t often go out and celebrate Valentine’s Day, but we do like staying in on such occasions and catching a good flick on Netflix. That’s why I decided to create a vintage-inspired vignette around this pair of armchairs where we can sit down and watch our favourite shows.

Creating a vintage valentine vignette can still feel modern with fresh accessories with a vintage feel.

Besides the mid-century inspired chairs, what makes this seating feel especially vintage are these sweet little ‘love birds’ pillows.

But the real centrepiece here is the collection of vintage-inspired decor on our side table.

Although pink is not part of my traditional colour scheme, I do love adding pink touches in the Spring. And these blush pink and yellow flowers really set off this vignette beautifully.

Pink flowers add a traditional flair to this vintage vignette for Valentine's Day.

I also think these ‘be mine’ paper napkins add the sweetest touch to this vintage fresh Valentine vignette.

Valentine-themed napkins and pink flowers create a beautiful setting for the perfect vintage Valentine vignette.

And what’s a night in on Valentine’s Day without a candle to set the mood and some Belgian chocolates to sweeten the decor (pun intended 😉 ).

I hope you enjoyed this ‘tour’ of our simple and vintage fresh Valentine vignette. It’s the perfect setting for a cozy night in, especially for a couple of old love birds like us 😉

Happy Nesting 🙂

Glad we’re not the only ones who keep things low key during Valentine’s Day, Katrin!

So perfect Jelica! I am not into a lot of pink and red either, so a beautiful spot like this is just right 🙂

It’s not part of my decor, to be sure, but it’s nice to add it in every so often. It’s the blush pinks and soft blushes that easily integrate into any decor, I think 🙂

So sweet, soft and romantic Jelica and I can almost picture the two of you watching a movie or three by candle light on that special day.

You’ve created the perfect romantic spot, Jelica, even though you’re not romantic. I love that touch of pink and those furry throws look so delightful! Love your vignette!
