Our home – like many of yours – is full of affordable Amazon home decor finds that we’ve collected over the years. While I’ve shared a wider range of practical picks in our annual Amazon round-ups, today’s post is focused on a more curated selection of items that make our home look good AND function better – whether it’s a kitchen tap, bathroom soap pump, or a linen pillow cover, these 21 home decor finds stand out not just because they’re useful but because they add style.
And while all of these picks are from Amazon, I’ve also included non-Amazon alternatives, where I can, in case you like to shop around or compare options.
So if you’re looking for items that add both form and function, these are my tried and tested favourites – and may make the difference in your home, too.

21 Favourite Amazon Home Decor Finds In Every Room
LIVING ROOM
1. Linen Pillow Covers

I’ve had a variety of pillow covers on my sofa, but none create that INSTANT lived-in warmth and upgrade than linen. I first purchased this light brown pair of covers early last year and immediately loved how naturally they integrated into our neutral living room aesthetic.

I loved how they looked and felt on our light sofa so much that I went ahead and purchased more in a matte black for our grey sofa.

Linen pillow covers are a great practical option because they’re naturally durable, breathable, and get softer with every wash.
Somehow, even the soft creases they form make our space feel both casual and luxurious at the same time. They just seem to have that relaxed, timeless look that I think works with almost any decor style.

2. Ultra-Thin Outlet Cover with Power Bar
I’ve shared this item before, including as part of this Amazon annual round-up – and for good reason. This outlet cover includes a power bar, 3-foot cord, and adhesive strips to keep the primary cord tidy. (There are also other versions by the same brand, including one with an 8-foot extension cord/power bar and other combinations that may suit your needs).
It’s amazing how something as simple as an outlet cover can instantly make this busy corner of our living room look so much cleaner and more streamlined.

I can also access the power bar which I’ve got tucked away behind our speaker.

Note: The outlet concealer comes in both “universal” and “standard” sizes, so check the size of your outlet and compare it to the measurements they provide under their product description.
All-in-all, this product does exactly what it needs to do. It keeps my cords tidy and tucked away. If you have an open space or a spot where you have a convergence of unsightly wires and cables, then I would recommend exploring this as a way to clear the clutter!

3. Soap Pumps

These matching soap pumps replaced our mismatching bottles (which I previously hid under the sink!). I love how clean and uniform the counter looks now.
The labels – which come with them – are WATERPROOF and have stood up to countless washes. If you prefer gold or black pumps, they are also available. My only beef: I ended up replacing the original dispensers with these which pump out the liquids much more smoothly.
But, all in all, a beautiful, affordable find for us.

4. All-in-One Water Tap (Reverse Osmosis)
This 3-in-1 tap has been a total game-changer for us. When we installed a reverse osmosis water filtration system, we needed to replace our old tap with one that could separate the filtered drinking water – and this one does exactly that.

In most cases, a separate water tap is installed – which means drilling another hole in your counter. But with this 3-in-1 tap from Amazon, we did did not have to drill another hole. We simply swapped out our old one with this new tap. (And no more countertop filters or awkward pitchers).

But more than its functionality, the gooseneck design and clean lines give it a sleek, modern look that instantly elevates the sink area. The brushed nickel finish adds a timeless touch that pairs effortlessly with any style or colour palette.

5. Area Rug

This area rug – an affordable purchase from the “Loloi” collection – added a beautiful pattern in our bedroom. It’s soft and surprisingly thick, too – feels quite nice standing on it.

Bonus: It also cleans up surprisingly well. After we had a MAJOR coffee spill along one side, I was able to easily clean it up. The coffee lifted out easily with no visible stains – which surprised me most of all.

And while I am STILL working on updating our bedroom, the moment I purchased this rug it seemed to instantly pull the whole room together.

6. Picture Ledge (extra long, 60″)

I purchased this picture ledge a few years ago when I was first setting up this guest room. I needed an easy way to style up the wall and wanted a picture ledge that took up the width of the bed – a queen size. This picture ledge fit the bill, perfectly. It’s functional and minimal, adding a gallery feel that feels very casual in this space.
It’s long enough for this space and deep enough to allow each frame to lean against the wall without the fear of toppling over.

What I love most? It let’s me swap out art without hammering new holes.

7. Soap Pump

Why do so many soap pumps end up rusting? After our old one became badly rusted, I knew it was time to find a better alternative. After a very long search, I eventually found this chic and minimal soap pump that doesn’t rust and easily integrates with our other bathroom accessories (find it on Amazon Canada HERE and on Amazon International Sites HERE.).
It’s also a foaming soap pump, which is a real cost-saver, too.

The clean design makes it feel more like decor than a utility, and it looks right at home on the counter. I love that it’s easy to refill and doesn’t leave any messy residue around the base – just simple, low-maintenance function with style.

8. Woven Toilet Tank Caddy/Basket

This woven basket is perfect for storing a wide assortment of bathroom accessories. It doesn’t take up much space – great if you have a tiny bathroom – in fact, I have two, one for each of our bathrooms. It’s a versatile product that you can place anywhere – on a toilet tank, counter, or on a nearby shelf. It’s great for storing a wide assortment of essentials such as wash cloths, face products, or extra soap.
It keeps everything tidy and easily accessible while looking great.

The neutral color and texture give it that warm, spa-like feel without trying too hard. It’s one of those small upgrades that makes the space feel more intentional and pulled together.

9. Gold-Brushed Frames

These gold-brushed frames turned my inexpensive art prints into something gallery-worthy – in our guest bathroom. They add a bit of glamour and polish in this tiny space.
Their elegant finish catches the light beautifully, making the whole room feel brighter and more inviting.

I can vouch for the quality of them – absolutely impeccable – with real glass protecting your prints. Perfect for a steamy bathroom.
Beyond their durability, the warm gold finish brings a subtle touch of luxury without overwhelming the room. They effortlessly elevate the space while blending seamlessly with both modern and classic decor styles, making them a versatile choice for any bathroom.
10. (Another) Minimalist, Rust-Free Soap Pump

This sleek soap pump (by iDesign) looks like ceramic but is plastic and totally rust-proof – ideal for a humid guest bathroom. It’s lightweight, clean-lined, and doesn’t degrade over time like metal ones tend to. It’s plastic and SO easy to clean – and super affordable, too.
The wide-mouth design also makes it easy to refill anytime. Just pop the top off and add your soap.

Plus, its minimalist style fits seamlessly with any bathroom decor, from modern to classic. Whether you’re refreshing your guest bathroom or outfitting a rental, this pump combines practicality and a polished look while keeping things affordable.
BASEMENT LOUNGE ROOM
11. Articulated Task Lamp

I’ve used this task lamp in a variety of spaces. It’s both practical and architectural and works so well in this lounge space where it resides now. Its adjustable arms are perfect for reading or working on hobbies downstairs, and it brings a modern industrial vibe here that I love.

Its sleek design doesn’t just provide great lighting – it also serves as a statement piece that elevates the whole room. Durable and easy to position, this lamp adapts effortlessly to whatever task or mood you need, making it a versatile favourite that fits perfectly into any space.

12. Velvet Pillow Cover with Piping
Right next to our lamp is this velvet pillow cover with crisp, contrast piping.

Unlike some other “velvet” pillow covers I’ve seen, this cover is incredibly soft, thick and well made.

It also brings a polished, cozy feel to our basement – a very curated, eclectic space – instantly elevating our very basic sleeper sofa. It just makes the space feel a little more special – and the perfect sleep spot to lay your head a while.

13. Stackable 3-Drawer Storage Compartments

While clear plastic isn’t what most people think of as “decor,” these plastic drawers are actually sleek, minimal, and add a clean aesthetic to my small home office.
In fact, this tower has generated a lot of curious readers over the years. It’s comprised of four 3-drawer units stacked one on top of the other, creating a single tower located under my desk.

After purchasing enough to make up one tower, I found I loved it so much that I went ahead and purchased a second set of four. Now, I have 2 storage towers, accessible from either side of my desk.

NOTE: If you decide to explore this option, keep in mind that the taller your tower, the more wobbly it becomes. These are plastic drawers, after all. That said, I’ve had mine for a few years and they continue to function very well for me.

14. Stackable Paper Trays

Similarly, while stackable trays might not scream “decor” at first glance, these simple paper trays bring both order and a streamlined look to my workspace.
A couple of years ago, I finally corralled my ever-growing paper stash with a few of these stackable trays. I loved them so much that I bought SEVERAL more. Now everything from cardstock to scrap paper to other office essentials have a home. It’s also easy to locate items which live out in the open, yet are still tucked away, too.

These paper trays provide smart vertical storage that maximizes the cubby space without feeling bulky. But also, their clean, bright white colour perfectly complements the light and airy vibe of my office, helping keep the space visually calm and organized.

15. Ergonomic Office Chair

When I was designing my office and craft studio, I knew I needed an office chair that didn’t just work – it had to fit, too. I wanted something primarily white to blend in with the light and bright aesthetic of the room, but it also had to be practical:
- Comfortable enough for long hours at my desk
- Durable enough to hold up to daily use
- Mobile enough to roll between my work table and craft stations.
My exact chair is a bit difficult to find now (by the brand, KERDOM), but there are so many similar options on Amazon these days.
I’ve had mine for a few years now, and it’s still going strong.

It’s one of those pieces that quietly does its job without getting in the way – both in function and in style – and continues to be one of the smartest, most-used additions to my workspace.

CRAFT SPACE
There are a LOT of great STORAGE OPTIONS in my craft studio that I’ve share on the blog – including posts like “19 Oddly Specific Organizing Ideas for the Multi-Purpose Craft Room” and “Organizing My Craft/Office Space + A Full Tour.”
While it’s tough to choose favourites, I want to highlight a couple of unexpected items. The kind you might not immediately think of for a craft room, but that have turned out to be surprisingly useful and keep things looking tidy, too.
16. Under-baskets

These under-shelf baskets doubled my storage without needing more storage space. I slide them onto existing shelves to hold additional yarn mainly.
While not made specifically for a craft room – they can be used in cupboards and closets anywhere in the home – they helped organize my yarn collection and keep things tidier and much, MUCH more accessible.

They’re lightweight and visually unobtrusive, allowing the yarn itself to shine while still keeping everything neatly contained. Their simple design blends right in, making them a functional choice that also complements the creative, colourful look of my craft space.

17. Wall-mounted, Collapsible Hangers

Wall-mounted hangers are a dream for organizing my sampler weavings, wreath forms, and other odds and ends. They keep everything visible, allowing me to quickly flip through each piece and access what I need. It’s a great way to maximize vertical space – and easy to install for those of us who are more ‘lightweights’ when it comes to DIY around the home 🙂
On the rare occasion my hangers aren’t in use, they easily collapse for a neat and streamlined look that stays out of the way and doesn’t stick out:

Although my exact hangers are difficult to find, this one is a close cousin while several other varieties are also available on Amazon that you can explore.
Since first setting them up, I’ve added a few more and rearranged things as my collection has grown – they continue to keep everything neat, tidy, and off the floor and are a smart use of vertical storage.

FOYER
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention a few beautiful pieces that currently reside in our foyer. While not earth-shattering, they do help elevate the look and feel of this space.
18. Matte Black Passage Door Lever

One small change that made a surprisingly big impact in our foyer was swapping out the old, builder-grade passage door lever – a type of door handle that can latch but doesn’t lock – on the door that leads to a tiny interior room.
The original handle was perfectly functional, but visually… it was just meh. We replaced it with this matte black passage door lever, and it instantly improved the look.

It’s sleek, modern, and feels substantial in your hand — a small detail that makes the entryway look more finished and thoughtfully designed.

Sometimes it’s these subtle upgrades that end up making the biggest difference.

19. Lightweight Planter

This affordable planter (by the brand “Arcadia”) adds an instant style boost to our entryway. It’s the perfect shade of ‘black’ – more like a dusty, charcoal – that blends easily without demanding a lot of attention. It makes a lovely first impression and makes the space feel alive (even if what’s inside it – a faux tree – isn’t).

Arcadia planters are lightweight, durable, and stylish, with eco-friendly materials and great drainage – perfect for easy indoor or outdoor gardening. I find that the lightweight material makes it easy to move and reposition as needed (especially when vacuuming), while the clean, modern shape gives it an elegant, sculptural quality that quietly elevates the whole area. It’s one of those rare finds that’s just as functional as it is beautiful – no fuss, no flash, just simple design that works.

20. Faux Olive Tree

I’ve had this faux olive tree for a few years and I LOVE it. By adding some moss in the planter, this little lovely looks absolutely real in this space. It adds height and texture without any maintenance, and it looks great all year round.

It brings just the right amount of greenery without clashing with the soft, neutral tones in the room – adding life without the pressure of keeping something alive. Our cat has fully claimed the bench next to it as one of his favourite napping spots, and honestly, I can’t blame him – it’s one of the coziest corners in the house.

21. Faux Mini Mums

These faux mums were a recent purchase – part of my autumn decor favourites round-up – and I adore them! They are SO cute and whimsical – affordable, too. They bring a subtle hit of quirk that work well in fall, but quite honestly, their ‘latte’ colour work anytime of year.

Unlike real mums, there’s no wilting or watering involved, and yet they still bring that same cozy, seasonal vibe to the space. The soft, neutral tone blends beautifully with my decor and adds a gentle texture that feels playful but not overpowering – just enough to catch the eye and warm up a room.

WRAPPING UP
Each one of these Amazon home decor finds has earned its place in my home, and I’d repurchase them in a heartbeat. Whether you’re refreshing a room or just looking for something practical, I hope these picks inspire a few upgrades of your own.
