DIY Leaf Vine Macrame Tutorial

I’ve been exploring some macrame designs lately and thought I’d share with you this easy DIY Leaf Vine Macrame pattern. While there are lots of “leaf/vine” variations that you can try, this one is great for those at the beginner and intermediate level.

DIY LEAF VINE MACRAME:  DOUBLE HALF HITCH KNOT

One of my favourite macrame knots has got to be the double half hitch knot. I love the clean look of it and its wide application.

Once you start to use this knot to create a couple of designs, it becomes easier to envision using it in more unique ways, like this DIY Leaf Vine Macrame pattern.

3mm macrame string (or cord) 

Two “S” hooks

Driftwood or dowel

Scissors

String of any kind
