I’ve got another simple weaving tutorial for the weavers out there. It’s on how you can make a fringeless weaving using a simple, yet effective technique called the half damascus stitch. If you’ve ever wanted to keep things clean, neat and simple, then you’ll definitely love this DIY!
WHY GO FRINGELESS?
No one loves a lovely fringe more than I, BUT sometimes going fringe-free is a better option or simply an aesthetic you’d prefer for your project.
Whether you are creating an art piece you’d like to frame (yes, you can frame your weaving) or simply wanting to go fringeless with coasters, placemats or a small rug or mat, then this is a great option.
Today’s DIY came out of some small weave experiments that I did recently where I decided to go fringe-free. These little beauties are still waiting for some finishing touches before heading over to my Etsy shop, but you can see that there’s not a single fringe in sight!
I love having the option of using fringe or going fringe-free to create some statement pieces for myself or someone else.
