I love adding holiday touches in parts of my home that aren’t normally decorated at any other time. Our kitchen is one such area. Although I almost never fail to place something festive on our kitchen island, the rest of this space is often neglected. But not this year. For this holiday season, I’ve sprinkled a few simple Christmas kitchen vignettes to give it a cheerier, more festive look, but without too much fuss 🙂
Simple Christmas Kitchen Vignettes
I love changing out my decor on our kitchen island from season to season. I often begin with a basic vase and build from there.
This year, my Christmas colours are black, white, and green mixed with wood tones and a bit of grey. Simple, natural and ‘non-glitzy,’ (is that even a word?!) yet festive just the same.
The vase contains 3 types of faux greens and a hint of red berries for a classic, Christmas touch.
And what’s a decorated home at A Pretty Fix without adding a bit of quirk?
This pottery head was fun to fill with greenery, a pinecone and cinnamon bark.
Moving onto the back of the kitchen, I’ve flanked either side of our stove with a couple of simple Christmas kitchen vignettes using matching potted mini trees.
I found this ceramic house at a local thrift store and just knew it had to come home with me!
The only adornment on this mini Christmas tree is this baker’s twine tied to one of the branches. Simple, minimal and sweet.
On the other side, I created another simple vignette using this tea kettle and thrifted bowl that contains a mixture of cinnamon bark and potpourri that just fills our home with the most delicious smell!
And last, but not least, I always like to add a special touch by layering tea towels. A touch of plaid completes this minimal farmhouse-inspired look.
I hope you enjoyed this mini tour of our kitchen. It didn’t take much to give it an easy-breezy Christmas vibe.
