Simple Decluttering & Organizing Ideas To Get You Motivated

How do you get motivated to declutter and organize?

For me, I know there is a big difference between wanting to declutter and organize and actually doing it. While I do think there are times when a deep declutter is necessary, I often feel deflated by the prospect of it. Instead, I find the greatest motivation comes from taking a few small areas in my home and turning them into functional spaces. By doing a quick and targeted declutter in those areas and organizing them, I feel a sense of accomplishment that motivates me to tackle more areas later on.

So this video – which targets a few key spaces in my home with practical tips to reduce clean-up afterwards! – is here to help you take that motivation of wanting to have a more functional home, and offer some practical and attainable tips to actually make it happen.

All my ‘no-lid’ bins featured in today’s video came from my local dollar store (Dollarama), but I have purchased similar ones in a variety of sizes and at affordable prices on Amazon too. Here are just a few of my favourites:

Small No-Lid Plastic Bins

Small/Medium No-Lid 6-pack Plastic Bins

Large No-Lid Plastic Bins

Plastic Storage Baskets, Pantry Storage Bins (all varieties)

Fabric No-Lid Storage Containers (great for IKEA Kallax Bookcases/Shelves)

If you’ve been struggling with getting motivated to declutter and organize parts of your home that really need it, I hope this video offers some practical ideas and inspiration to get you started ♥
