One of the things I love about fall decorating is just how easy it is to evoke a cozy feeling inside with only a few accessories. This is especially true with vintage and thrifted decor. There’s just something about vintage and vintage-inspired accessories that seem to inspire a mix of warmth and a touch of nostalgia. That’s why I’m excited to be sharing my vintage fall touches in our kitchen using a mix of new and thrift store decor. Budget-friendly and cozy, too 🙂

Vintage Fall Touches In The Kitchen
Do you decorate your kitchen to reflect the season? With the exception of our kitchen island, I’m not a fan of cluttering up my prep space. But this year, I had a few thrifted decor pieces that I thought would be just PERFECT additions to our kitchen. And, well, I was so thrilled with it that I wanted to share the results with all of you.
And it didn’t take much! In all, I created three vignettes: one on the kitchen island and two on either side of our stove.
Each fall vignette includes a mix of new and old items that complement one another beautifully. Using a palette of whites, creams and browns, each of these fresh fall kitchen vignettes integrated well, not only with one another, but with the living room space next to it.
In this vignette, I already had the cheese board and simply added the tea towel, teapot, and wooden pumpkin and – voila! – I had an instant display that was practical and pretty, too.
On the other side of our stove is this second vignette, which complements the first.
Two of the four items are thrifted. Can you guess which ones?
You probably guessed correctly with at least one: the framed print. It evokes this great sense of nostalgia and the colours worked brilliantly with the neutral colour scheme in our kitchen.
The other thrifted piece was this super-cute creamer! The detail is just lovely, don’t you think?
While not a vignette, this quirky fall-themed tea towel is absolutely adorable.
The final vignette is this simple fall tray resting on our kitchen island (which you would have seen a couple of weeks ago when I posted my Simple Fall Tray Display on the blog).
It is both practical and pretty and perfect for fall. In the mix are new and vintage pieces that create a romantic and nostalgic feeling, too.
(Below are some pics BEFORE hubby got a hold of the yogurt-covered cranberries!)
To create height, I stacked 3 thrifted books we already had at home. It was the perfect spot for a fall pumpkin!
Also out front is a small wooden tiered bowl where we (mainly hubby!) can access candies and treats.
The remaining spaces are filled with small velvet pumpkins and faux florals to add a hit of colour.
Thanks for stopping by for another installment from my “Simply Fall” Series. I hope it gave you a few more ideas on how you might decorate your kitchen with some quick and easy seasonal vignettes.
Happy decorating 🙂
