Recently I was reaching around our sofa to grab hold of our well-hidden tissue box. As I contorted myself to pull out a tissue, I realized just how silly it was to conceal our tissue box! But, quite honestly, I dislike most tissue box designs in general. The colours are either too garish (purple, blue, orange and brown, oh my!) or just so unimaginative (kittens with party hats? oh dear!). So I resolved then and there to find some modern tissue box covers that I wouldn’t have to hide anymore.
Until that moment of contorted realization, I hadn’t seriously considered the ‘need’ for tissue box covers. After all, their just tissues. But, as someone who is constantly reaching for all those hidden tissue boxes strategically placed around our house, I realized that this dilemma could easily be addressed by simply sourcing out tissue box covers – on Amazon and Etsy, of course – that could work within our neutral and modern home aesthetic.
And I’ll wager that there are more than a few of you who can relate.
