SUPPLIES NEEDED

Supplies needed: DIY rustic wall decor swag.

• Greenery (Faux or Preserved). I used preserved eucalyptus

• Florals (Faux or Preserved). Here’s a wide selection of faux florals online.

• Twigs and/or Dried Stems (I collected these on a ramble through the forest!)

• Burlap Roll (I used a 5-inch wide roll like this one, but you can use any width that suits your project)

• Twine

• Scissors

• Wire Cutters

• Elastic Bands

STEPS – DIY RUSTIC SWAG

Step 1: Building Your Swag

Start with your base.

Start with a base of greenery (like eucalyptus)

Intersperse twigs, if you have them.

Add twigs to your base.

Intersperse other dried elements.

Add other dried stems to the base.

Place florals on top. Faux or real works just fine.

Add florals on top of swag.

Step 2: Binding It Together

Wrap an elastic band around the base.

Bind base together with elastic band.

Cut off uneven bits.

Cut off uneven ends.

Wrap burlap around the base a couple of times, covering the elastic band.

Wrap burlap around base of swag.

Wrap an elastic band around the burlap to secure it to the base.

Secure burlap base with rubber band.

Taking your twine, tie the tip around the elastic at the back.

Attach twine to back of base.

Begin wrapping the twine around the burlap.

Wrap twine around burlap base.

Snip twine and tie the tip to the back with a double knot.

Secure twine to back of burlap base.

Taking more twine (I used 3 long lengths), tie a bow around the base with a double knot.

Tie a bow of twine around the base.

Hang and enjoy!
