Neutral Spring Style Updates (& the ONE Way To Keep Things Fuss-Free)

It’s rare that I ‘go big’ or colourful with spring decor these days. I’m still coming out of my winter-cocooning, after all, and love a feeling of serenity at home. But I don’t like to pass up a chance to decorate, either! Today, I’m sharing some of my simple, neutral spring style updates along with the ONE way I’m keeping it all fuss-free.

Before I Decorate: The ONE Thing I Do to Keep Things Fuss-Free

After years of honing my personal sense of style, I’m now happy to transition my decor seasonally without spending much – if at all – by FIRST going through my capsule decor collection.

What IS a Capsule Decor Collection?

Simply put, it’s a curated collection of decor that can be stored for a season (e.g., Christmas or Fall decor) and which can be pulled out and used in fresh ways the next season.

This is my capsule decor collection, stored away in our basement. It’s always evolving, never perfect, but one that works for me these days.

Storing my best decor and re-using it at different times of the year has become my go-to, low-cost method of decorating each season.

In the past, I used to rush out to the stores and thrift shops, and inevitably realize (after purchase, of course!) that I already had similar treasures at home that I had forgotten about.

But now, I’ve truly fallen in love with the process of FIRST shopping my home before stepping foot into all those lovely decor shops!
