Favourite Finds From ‘UncommonGoods’

Oct. 28, 2016

Have you ever heard of UncommonGoods? If not, you are missing out! UncommonGoods is a creative online marketplace that connects makers, including artists and small manufacturers, with consumers who are looking for interesting and unusual finds from home decor to fashion to storage solutions, and so much more.  Items like this stunning (and sustainably crafted) wooden Rocky Mountain Coat Range:

Or these quirky, recycled Cardboard Animal Heads:

What makes UncommonGoods more than just an online store – and just a little less ‘common’ – is their commitment to socially and environmentally responsible policies that include using organic and recycled products, fair wages for their workers, and – my personal favourite – their ‘Better To Give’ Program which allows customers to choose a non-profit organization to receive a $1 donation directly from the company at checkout. I absolutely love this about them. While I am not as socially and environmentally aware as I could be, especially of the goods I buy, I appreciate finding an online market that takes the research out of the equation and makes ‘giving back’ a foundational component of what they do.

So when I was given the opportunity to provide a review of my favourite finds from their site, I was more than a little thrilled 🙂  Quite honestly, there is so much eye candy. And, as many of you know, I do love unusual, quirky, items in my home and personal accessories – I was definitely in the right place!

Here are some of my favourite finds:

BIRTHDAY GIFTS

Looking for unique birthday gift ideas? Then peruse their diverse online collection, including gems like this DIY Cuff Bracelet Kit. It’s crafting made easy with all the items you need in one handy kit!DIY Cuff Bracelet Kit - Uncommon Goods

And how adorable is this Llamarama Large Zipper Pouch?

GIFTS FOR MEN

Finding a gift that is both practical and just a little less ordinary for the men in your life is no easy task. But with UncommonGoods‘ online collection, there is plenty to choose from, like this full range Working Man’s Hygiene Kit.

ANNIVERSARY GIFTS

More than just jewelry or ties, the range of items in their Anniversary Gifts collection is way cooler and far more unique than anything you might see elsewhere. Here are just a few items that caught my eye:

Vintage Camera Pillows! These would look great in my craft room 🙂

HOME GOODS

Of course, a review of my favourite finds would not be complete without a nod to some of the unique offerings there are in home goods, such as this beautiful Feathers Pillow.

Or this Minimalist Teak Wall Shelf which looks great on its own or in a wall gallery setting.

And then there is this oh-so-gorgeous Handmade Herringbone Knitting Basket (which will be coming home to me soon – yay!)

There is so much more to see of well-crafted, handmade pieces that you’ll be hard-pressed to find elsewhere – and all in one online marketplace! Check out all there is at UncommonGoods.
