My Fall Home Tour

See the fall home tour on the home décor and DIY blog, aprettyfix.com. Plenty of creative and inspiring ideas for your home this fall, including links to tutorials.I’m very excited to take you all on a special fall home tour today. Although the décor is still evolving – I’m always adding a few extra details here and there and never feel that anything is quite ‘done’ – it is pretty close to where I want it to be. All the main areas where guests pass through contain vignettes that speak to fall in some way, whether it is through colour, texture or outdoor elements. And I also love to mix it up and stay true to the colour schemes I’ve laid out in each zone of the house. It was truly a labour of love 🙂

The Foyer

When guests walk into the home, they are greeted by this foyer/entryway.

These modern, yarn-wrapped pinecones are a great way to inject some colour into your fall decor this year. A fun and easy project to share with the kids.

Remember these yarn-wrapped pinecones? You can check out the tutorial on how to make them here.

The Den

To the left of the foyer is our den which doubles as a second guest room so I wanted to add a bit of seasonal colour and texture here as well.

The Great Room

As guests make their way from the foyer into the Great Room, they are greeted with a cubby wall display on the right (see how to make it here). I changed out a few items to make room for seasonal décor.

To the left of the wall display is our console table which also doubles as our mini wine bar. Above the console is this lovely ombre yarn garland (to make one of your own, check out the tutorial here).

Further to the left is our kitchen island where there’s a little serving tray with a few seasonal essentials (i.e., pumpkin spice coffee; yum 🙂 ).

Next to the kitchen is our dining area where I’ve stayed true to the neutral palette.

This is where I ended up placing the distressed candlesticks (if you missed the tutorial, check it our here). I really love how they complement the artwork and little antler on display.

Living Room Space

Next to the dining area is our ‘living room’ space where I’ve added a few hits of texture and seasonal décor pieces that integrate well – again, in keeping with the neutral and creamy white colour scheme.

Master Bedroom

Last, but certainly not least, I decided to add a touch of the season in the master bedroom. I don’t always think to do much with our bedroom – it always seems to be the last place that gets decorated! This year, however, I decided to add this little rustic wreath which fits nicely in this darker, warmer space.

So, there you have it. My fall home tour. It’s been a process and I’m still considering tweaking a few things, but, given time and resources, I am pretty happy with the way it has turned out 🙂

Thank Kyah! The foyer was definitely fun to work with – I loved using the rust colour scheme and outdoor elements, including the pinecones and shed antlers, too 🙂
