Sweet Inspiration Link Party #88

Jan. 05, 2018

Wow! I can’t believe it’s 2018. Crazy, right? It seemed like only yesterday that Prince’s song ‘Party Like It’s 1999’ had me wondering what ultra-futuristic space outfits we’d all be wearing now (okay, so I was a really weird 8-year old). Turns out, jeans and flannel are still in (I think) – lucky for me 😉  Well, that’s enough nostalgic geek-speak. Let’s get on with why you’re all here today:  to link up and get inspiration at the BEST Party around. That’s right. It’s time for this year’s first Sweet Inspiration Link Party!

Sweet Inspiration Link Party Details

If you are new to the blog or new to the party – welcome! For those of you returning, welcome back, and we hope you like the new look 🙂

The Sweet Inspiration Link Party is a forum where bloggers link up their latest blog posts (in the gallery at the bottom). Everything from crafts to DIYs, recipes to home organization, from travel to fashion to inspirational posts, and so much more.

The party starts on Fridays 11am EST/ 4pm GMT and runs until Tuesday 11am EST/4pm GMT.  By joining us each week you’ll be able to grow your blog and be inspired by others who link up to the party. I hope you’ll join us each and ever week to share your projects and learn something new.

But first, check out what your co-hosts have been up to:

Gingerbread Hot Chocolate Recipe by Somewhat Simple

What could be better at this time of year than to curl up under a blanket and sip on this yummy gingerbread hot chocolate (and served up with whipped cream and sprinkles)? Check out all the delicious details at Stephanie’s blog, Somewhat Simple.

DIY Earrings by Moois van M(i)e

I adore these boho style DIY earrings created by Moois van M(i)e. They are chic and beautiful and have that elusive ‘casual cool girl’ vibe that I never seem to master in my own style, but always admire in others.

Eggnogg Bread Pudding by Simply Stacie

Mary says: I have plenty of eggnog left over so why not use it to make this yummy eggnog bread pudding which looks so great I may end up eating way too much of it. Thanks to Stacie of Simply Stacie for this great recipe.

East UKAW17-The Marina Dress by Vanity & Me

Mary says: I can definitely see wearing this beautiful dress about now. It is warm enough and lightweight enough so that we stay warm and cool “wink” all at the same time. And those patterns are so bo-ho pretty. Of course Laurie of Vanity and Me knows just how to style it for us.

How To Create Festive Christmas Planters With Faux Greens, by Interior Frugalista

Michelle says: I believe my friends up North are experiencing one of the coldest Winter’s in a very long time but that didn’t faze Marie from The Interior Frugalista when she created these beautiful Christmas planters. I bet they’re going to look amazing for a very long time.

DIY Ice Luminaries – Tutorial, by Sew Historically

Michelle says: How I wish it got cold enough here in South Africa to make these beauties that Lina from Sew Historically shared. Don’t they just look magical?

5 Tips for Getting the Perfect Christmas Card Photos, by Wild Heart Films

Christina says: I have a thing with good photographs so I read every tip and post I can find. Aubrey gives us 5 tips for getting the perfect Christmas card photos.

Gingerbread Cookie Boxes, by Gluesticks

Christina says: Aren’t these the most delicious boxes you have ever seen? Brandy from Gluesticks blogs give us all the details how to make them.

Book Wreath Made of Vintage Mini Books by Thrifty Rebel Vintage

Florence says: It’s not only because I like to read that I’m attracted to this Mini Book Wreath by Tuula of Thrifty Rebel Vintage! It’s both pretty and unusual….a winning combo.

Soft & Fluffy Dinner Rolls by Treat & Trick

Florence says:  If it were possible to reach through the screen and grab one of these luscious looking Soft and Fluffy Dinner Rolls by Nora of Treat & Trick, I wouldn’t be able to stop at just one! Her whole pan would disappear!

And now (drum roll, please!), the 2 posts that received the most views from last week’s party are…

Quick & Easy Cat Proof Pom Pom Tree, A Crafty Mix – Congratulations!
